We use the Alice NightOne, which meets the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) recommended criteria for home sleep test devices (type 3) and is superior to type 4 devices like the Watch-PAT because it allows our sleep doctor to review the raw data from your study and more accurately determine the type and severity of sleep apnea. The Watch-PAT simply generates a report that the doctor signs; sleep doctors cannot review the data directly from the Watch-PAT. The Watch-PAT is not good at distinguishing obstructive from central sleep apnea which is important to determine the best treatment for you.
